I don't remember seeing any copyeditors at my high school's career day. How did I get into editing, you ask? I just sort of fell into it.
I began copyediting when I was an editorial assistant for a literary agent. In 2008, I began editing academic papers, dissertation proposals, and dissertations in a wide range of disciplines. While editing these works, I realized that editing combines two of my interests: reading and helping others improve their writing. Some years later, here I am with my own business.
