Free sample: Send a short sample of your work (500 words) to lesley@thewritepolish.com so I can assess what level of editing you’ll need. Proposal: When I return your sample edit, I’ll provide an estimate of time and cost. Letter of agreement: After we agree to work together, I’ll send a letter of agreement that we both sign. First invoice: I’ll issue you an invoice for a deposit, which can vary between 25-50% of the total project cost. Once you pay the first invoice, you send me the document. Editing: I’ll edit with Word Track Changes enabled, so you’ll be able to see the changes I’ve made. I have a simple guide to Track Changes if you’re not familiar with it. You review: I return the edited document for your review. You can accept, reject, discuss changes, and/or provide updated content. I review: If you make any changes to the original text, I’ll review to ensure no new errors were introduced. Delivery of files: I’ll return the Track Changes version and a clean version.
